Alethea Beetson (Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi and Wiradjuri) established Blak Social after successfully founding renowned Indigenous youth arts organisation, Digi Youth Arts, to continue creating spaces for the sovereign-led development and presentation of Indigenous stories and connected arts practice.

Since its beginnings in 2020, Blak Social has delivered productions such as Queen’s City, Blak Friday and held a residency at The Tivoli through which it delivered Blak Day Out 2022 and 2023 along with other music centric events. In 2023 Blak Social produced First Nations led alt-rock band Selve’s visual album Red Desert Dream via our label; and will be releasing new music through Blak Social records in 2024.
